Consultation for the Mental Health Profession (539)

This course provides an overview of consultation theory and advocacy competencies. Students will learn to apply the skills of consultation and advocacy in facilitating change in counseling with families, schools, colleges, and community agencies. You will explore how the role of advocate addresses current social justice issues and the challenges presented. There is an emphasis on the practical application of consultation and advocacy skills within an Adlerian theoretical framework.
