Crisis and Trauma in Schools (579)

Students will examine and learn how to develop school crisis plans and teams that encompass preparedness, prevention, response and recovery, both short and long term.  Students will examine school safety from a multi lens approach including the training in a range of school crises, systems, procedures, and the unique mental health needs that can arise as the result of a crisis. Students will explore the unique opportunities and challenges presented by schools in preventing and responding to crisis. (4/20)
